Family and Growing up Christopher Paolini was born on November 17th, 1983, in Southern California. He was raised in Paradise Valley, Montana. Christopher’s Parents are Kenneth Paolini, and Talita Hodgkinson, and a sister named Angela. Paolini is Italian. Being home schooled his whole life; he finished High School at the age of fifteen. Soon after graduation, Paolini started the Inheritance trilogy a Fantasy/fiction series all set in a made up kingdom called Alagaësia. Lightening Source, an on-demand printing company, printed the first book Eragon. As the first book became popular and known, it caught the attention of Knopf a large publishing house that is part of Random House. In 2003 Knopf published Eragon in hardcover. First editions are now collector’s items. Eragon became #3 on the New York Times bestseller list, and appeared on the today show soon afterward. Eldest and a Third… Eldest the second book was released August 23, 2005. So far many fans have read it, and like Eragon cannot wait to read the next one the third. The Third book in the Inheritance Trilogy will most likely be very popular like Eragon. The Third book’s name is unknown to everyone, and has left everyone guessing. Many people think the next book will be called Empire, because of the hint that Paolini gave stating that it is a six letter word starting with E. People think that the name Empire fits also because it makes sense and because it starts with an E like the rest of the Inheritance series. Unfortunately we will all have to wait until it is released. For Now… Christopher Paolini (23) is currently living in Paradise Valley, working on his next book the third in the Inheritance Trilogy. Eragon the movie is coming out in theaters December 15th 2006. He claims that the top three authors who influenced him and his books were Anne McCaffrey, Ursula K. LeGuin and Raymond Feist with his novel Magician making a particularly strong impact on Paolini.
