My book review is on the Christmas Carol.  It is about a man, who is the meanest man in his town.  Three ghosts appear: the ghosts of Christmas past, present, and future. The main characters were Ebenezer Scrooge and the three ghosts.  Ebenezer Scrooge was a mean man that did not appreciate anybody.  If anything was said to him about Christmas he would say his likely term ‘humbug’.  The three ghosts showed Scrooge his own past, present, and future.  The characters went on many adventures showing Scrooge his past, present, and future.  My favorite character was Scrooge because he was funny in a way.  The author wanted to show people that Christmas is a loving time.

I do not thing I can relate to Scrooge’s story.  I am not a mean person and I love Christmas.  I have felt like the ghosts before.  The feeling of wanting to help someone so they fit in.  I have never actually helped someone be a better person. I have changed their thoughts though.

I loved this book, because I love Christmas and I like mystery action type books.  My favorite part of the book is when the three ghosts came and tried to help Scrooge to become a better person.  I did not have a least favorite part of the book because it was so good.  The thing I would change in the book would be to put two Scrooges in the book, because  they would be friends and they can both become nicer.

I would recommend this book to any one five years old and up.  A person that is mean or nice will like this book.
