King Bruenor Battlehammer prepares to get his kingdom of Mythril Hall, ready for the Drow invasion. His adopted human daughter, Cattie-brie and Drizzt Do'Urden,a renagade Drow who has forsaken his people, are glad to see the fighting spirit back in their dwarven friend, but fear for the safety  of his people. The Siege of Darkness takes place in the fantasy world of Faerun. The Drow ,or dark elves, are planning a full scale invasion against the dwarves of Mythril Hall. Bruenor Battlehammer, Cattie-brie, Regis and Drizzt Do'Urden are bent on killing the leader of the Drow, for they have already witnessed the death of their dear friend Wulfgar, by the tainted hands of the Drow. Will they hold out?

This book is a wonderful story of a titanic battle that would have been cool to witness. Just think to be Drizzt the finest swordsmen in all the realms protecting your friends lands against your heritage and total destruction. It would be magnificent!

I really liked this book, I thought it was a fabulously written tale. My favorite part was when the giant battle was fully under way. How clan Battlehammer with the aid of their allies from Silverymoon, Settlestone and Nesme tried to hold the fortress from many sides against the overwhelming Drow and their kobold fodder. I thought it was funny when the wizard Harkel Harpel tried to teleport to Mythril Hall but failed on the spell and only his eyes made while his body stayed behind.

I would definitely  recommend this book to any one who likes fanatsy/adventure books that take place back on the ages of swords and magic. I would also recommend any other  Forgotten realms books. If your going to get one of  these books be ready for a kind of long read since each one is at least 300 pages. Enjoy these books!
