| The Book The Lost Years of Merlin was a very good book. It is about a young boy named Emrys, who washes ashore with no memory of his past, only a woman named Branwen who refuses to tell him any thing. When his mysterious powers lose him his sight, he swears never to use them if only he can regain his sight. He develops the second sight, and sets out to find his past. When he washes ashore on the mysterious island of Fincayra, he discovers a wealth of characters, including Shim, the tiny Giant, and Rhia, the tree girl. But his quest is turned aside when Rhia is taken captive. To save her, he must journey into the place where night never ends, into the lands dominated by Stangmar, the evil king. But many surprises await him in the Shrouded Castle, one of which is the least expected and most feared of all. |
| Of all the characters, I can relate most to Rhia. We both have very good instincts. Both she and I can be brave, although in very different ways. We both love to climb trees. And we will both fight to save our homeland. In these last two ways, I am also similar to Emrys. |

This was a great book! My favorite part was when Emrys discovers his true
name. It is Merlin. It was sad when Rhia got taken to the
shrouded castle. She was very brave to do what she did. I would give this
book a 10!
I would definitely recommend this book. It is really good for magic lovers. It also is good for people who like a good mystery. It also has a slightly spiritual side as well. You should DEFINITELY read this book!
