| In
the story Knee Knock Rise by Natalie Babbit a young boy named Sam
lives in a village at the
foot of Gigantic Mountains. The main characters are Sam, Pamela, and Grandpa. Sam and Pamela lived in a house with Grandpa who owned a clock shop in the village and works there non-stop. In the story Sam sets out to find and slay the infamous howling beast of Knee Knock Rise. My Favorite character is Sam because he is so brave and has a lot of courage. A point the author made in the story was that you can be very easily fooled or scared by something if you don't understand it.
I mostly related to Sam, being a curious young man. I've felt scared like the other characters in the book before, everybody at some time is afraid of monsters.
I like this book, I would give it a 3 on a scale of 1 to 4. The ending is my favorite part of the book. I don't have a least favorite part. If I could change something I would make the beginning a little more exciting and interesting.
I would recommend this book to another person for it's "medieval monster story" like feel to it. I would recommend this book to a reader that likes tales, not stories, monsters, not animals, and villages, not cities. I would recommend this book to a reader that likes fantasy stories and really likes clocks.
