PTA President Message:

Simply stated, we all want our children to be successful in life.  Their education is a major component of that process.  In order for a child to have a positive experience during their education, I believe that they must feel supported, safe and confident. A positive school environment is critical to these things.  During a school day, our children spend the majority of their day in school.  The school environment is a huge portion of their developmental influence.

It is the role of the Parent Teachers Association to help the school administrators and staff to maintain a healthy school environment.  The money raised and/or managed by the PTA helps the school to develop and maintain programs which assist the students in being successful, confident and safe.

Along with a healthy school environment the PTA has been asked to embrace the higher level of cognitive thinking which the students are encouraged to perform.   Simply working on tasks in order to complete them is not going to be enough to make our children successful.  In this critical stage of their development they need to start learning to generate their own higher level of thinking in order to be good problem solvers and contributors to society. The sooner a child can learn this before they become adults and are expected to enter independently into society the more opportunities they will have to be successful.

Please feel free to come to any or all of the PTA meetings so you can make your opinions known on how, when and where the PTA helps the school.
